Shinigami

Shinigami (死神?, "God of death" or "spirit of death") is a sentiment in Japanese folklore that invites humans to death or incites human feelings to suicide. Shinigami is the personification of death so often attributed to the Grim Reaper, the concept of personification of death in the western world. In fact, the Shinigami is a concept that has recently appeared in Japanese folklore, there is rarely any mention of a Shinigami in classical Japanese literature because it is a concept of absorption from the western world. Nevertheless, the Shinigami concept has evolved from a single death entity into a number of personifications representing death and has often been adapted in modern popular culture.

Shinigami's Eyes

Shinigami's eyes, also known as Shinigami Eyeballs or Eyes of the Shinigami, are eyes that can see both the names and lifespans of humans floating above their heads.
Get Shinigami Eyes.

If the Shinigami dropped his Death Note in the human world and humans picked it up, the Shinigami could give the Shinigami Eye to humans at the expense of half the remainder of the human life. The eye deal is first mentioned by Ryuk as he offers Light the trade, which Light rejects, as he does not want to give up half his age. This of course does not become a consequence of Shinigami, as they can get more years of life easily through their Death Note. A human being will never be able to regain some of their life span that has been sacrificed in return for the Shinigami Eye. Even if humans lost possession of their Death Note, their life span will never be restored.

Shinigami Death Note

Shinigami Realm is a shinigami world. The world has a barren, dry, and desolate land. This land is similar to purgatory. Includes a different landscape area and does not have the same building building as the building in the human world. Shinigami tend to congregate in dry areas with soil structure in the form of stone and bone. There is at least one mountain or structure where Ryuk lives alone in the cave.

Shinigami Realm also covers the desert area with various holes. The holes, which are shaped like concentric spheres, are scattered on the surface. Artifacts from Shinigami Realm have holes that allow them to see into the human world from the bird's eye view. This strange object is a strange object that allows the Shinigami to take a human life without traveling to Earth.

One of the Shinigami in Anime Death Note is Ryuk. Ryuk is the main Shinigami in the death note series. Often he looks bored with the activities in the Shinigami world, Ryuk gets the second Death Note and drops him in the human world just to amuse himself. He deliberately wrote the instructions on the front page so that people would understand his purpose. Death Note was discovered by Light Yagami, an intelligent high school student, Ryuk followed him and watched how Light used his Death noote. Ryuk has a pretty humanoid appearance. His skin is gray or purpleish and his legs are long, his eyes are yellow with black irises that sometimes turn red.

Shinigami Bleach

One of the my favorite Shinigami characters on Anime Bleach is Rukia Kuchiki. Rukia Kuchiki (朽木 , Kuchiki Rukia) is the 13th Division Captain now. He previously served as lieutenant of the 13th Division under Captain Jūshirō Ukitake. Rukia is Byakuya Kuchiki's adopted sister and Ichigo Kurosaki's friend.

With a short and petite appearance, Rukia has a bright skin and purple eyes. His hair was black, with a few strands of hair always hanging between his eyes. Byakuya has stated that he is very similar to his sister, Hisana Kuchiki. As a Shinigami of the Gotei 13, Rukia wore standard shihakushō. 17 months after Aizen's defeat, Rukia wore her cut hair into a bob hanging from her face. He wears a white tekkō without fingers, similar to Byakuya, which extends over the elbow. As a lieutenant, he wore his Badge Division around his back arm uniform, which had been shortened to reach only his upper arm.

Rukia War
Rukia ten years after Yhwach's defeat. Ten years after Yhwach's defeat, Rukia's hair was in a style similar to the time before Aizen's defeat, but much longer. He also now wears a typical haori captain in the usual Shinigami shifengushō.

Shinigami no Testament

The next Shinigami anime is Shinigami no Testament. In the past, there was a magical book called 'epistula' that could grant all wishes, whether it be great wealth or eternal life. However, suddenly a mysterious death strikes all those who have their desires given. It is believed that a shinigami came to take their lives. As time passes, this story gradually disappears from people's memories. Now, there are reports of mysterious serial hunters and whispers about urban legends around town. Rui witnessed a pupil from his school disappearing in a back alley. Standing there illuminated by moonlight is a shinigami.
